Please take a look at the above article from the San Diego Troubadour. Folks, take a look at a project you may really want to participate in. Lou has worked a lifetime on it, and is offering a way to share (in my opinion) in his legacy. Wouldn't it be cool to put out a live PFC CD that would help support (and maybe add to) Lou's collection? What are your thoughts? |

The work sounds like a really neat project. Oviously, Lou is really into this.
I am curious though, is his work available to the public via internet? It seems that his efforts are going into a library archive and not available for viewing or listening unless you go to the specific library. Being that he's digitizing them, it seems like a perfect opportunity to make them available over the internet so that a wider audience can enjoy and learn from them. Yes, I agree that the CD would be cool! Let see what we could do. Lance |

Great Questions. Lou would probably be excited to discuss this and all questions about the project. He can be reached at: http://www.folkartsra...
Also, he is on ksds jazz 88.3 (npr related station I believe). I think the purpose of getting stuff into lib of congress is to to preserve the material properly and make it available for publication in the most efficient way. He also writes are regular article in the San Diego Troubadour. |
