Once again, PFC has the very best guests in folk music. Thanks Lou and Virginia for an entertaining and educational 30++ minutes of great music. Funny stories and songs, and history we could never dream to find except from someone like Lou, who has 50 years of playing and promoting and archiving performances of San Diego folk music festivals. We were so privileged to have one of California's great folk music authorities visit our little circle. Remember to visit Lou's store down on Adam's Avenue (http://www....), where you will find a Smithsonian's wealth of knowledge about 20th century American Music. Also, I urge you and your friends to consider joining the SDFH and support the Lou Curtiss Digitization Project, which is working hard on a shoestring to digitize recordings from 40 years of San Diego Folk festivals. Lou can also be heard on the radio weekly on Jazz 88.3, http://www....

I am as always filled with admiration for both the guest and member performers of this group. What a hoot Lou and Virginia were, I was smiling the entire time they sang and played! Made me want to hear more! And the Folk Circle regulars never cease to make me smile or make me cry. It is an honor to be a participant. Lisa

Lou and Virginia are a living encylopedia of American folk. It is wonderful to learn the roots and background of many classic folks songs. Fun!

Really great to hear songs of that era done by Lou and Virginia Curtiss. This was really cool.
