Another wonderful evening of music and friendshiip. It was great to see several new faces - not that there's anything wrong with the old ones.... please keep coming!
My friend and I had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the music and singing. I am looking forward to more Rancho Bernardo Jams. This area really needs some musical entertainment. I think you should advertise the upcoming events in the Rancho Bernardo journal. Thanks again. Rita
Wow! Some really great fiddle and mandolin duets last night. Great singing on "I'll fly away" - one of my favorites! As always, the people were a great, very supportive, and an overall fun group.
Great, 5+ stars, actually many more stars all crammed into a room that got smaller as the meeting progressed. Bass fiddle, fiddles, banjo, guitars: Excellent! Even the most skilled folks there were neighborly, encouraging and patient with rank beginners like myself. So much so I went back to my car to retrieve guitar just try to play catch up and rhythm and learn by copying.
We meet to play traditional, folk, roots, blues, country, bluegrass, Americana, world and original music. Everything is acoustic. Our events are open and free to the public, family friendly and a lot of fun. You will find an entertaining and educational experience in a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. We play guitars, mandolins, fiddles, banjos, ukulele, bass, dulcimers, harmonicas, and other stringed instruments from around the world. We also encourage original acoustic music presentation and invite budding artists to show their stuff. Find out more at http://www.meetup.com/Poway-Folk-Circle/about/ for full details.
